The Car Unlocker category contains several different electronic tool families for selected vehicles and service tasks. BMW Unlocker, AST PRO, Korea Key Programmer (KKP), Toyota/Lexus 2024+ tools, Toyota/Lexus 2008–2017 key-programming products and Toyota/Lexus 2016+ platforms must not be treated as one universal system.

The vehicle electronics determine the tool

Smart Key generation, immobilizer architecture, body-control electronics, Security Gateway, regional market and Key Family can change compatibility even when the commercial vehicle name is unchanged.

Toyota and Lexus groups

Important published identifiers include A8, A9, AA, BA and B9. They are technical identifiers and remain unchanged in every language. The current catalog also includes distinct Toyota/Lexus generations such as 2008–2017, 2016+ and 2024+ products.

BMW and Korean platforms are separate

BMW Unlocker Alarm Off is a separate platform. Korea Key Programmer (KKP) is another product identity and its exact KIA/Hyundai functions must come from its own specification. Neither should inherit Toyota/Lexus compatibility.

Unlocker and Key Programmer are not equivalent

An unlocker/access platform and a key programmer can appear in the same professional service environment but perform different documented functions. The individual product page remains the source for supported operations and instructions.

Current inventory can differ by locale

The live category grid is not identical across every language. Keep the products actually assigned in each locale until the CMS/category mapping is deliberately changed; do not force parity by deleting or inventing products.
